Greetings Fellow Gardeners --

Following are details for upcoming activities arranged for our
NSMGA:

This year's Plant Problem Clinics will begin on Friday, April 30 and
run from 10AM until 12 Noon each Friday through the Summer.
They will be held at Myrtle's Market again this year.  The market
is located at the intersection of Mr. Joe White Avenue and Oak
Street in Myrtle Beach.

A field trip to visit and tour the J & W Produce farm, a
Community Supported Agriculture facility, has been arranged for
our group.  The tour will be on Monday, May 17 and beginning at
10AM.  J & W is located at 5109 Highway 501 West in Aynor, just
east of SC-22.  It is a red building on right side and there is a sign
to help with locating the facility.

Some of you may have read an article about this type of facility
published in the Sun News today by Johanna D. Wilson that
explains "community-supported agriculture is a grass-roots
solution for farmers and folks craving homegrown food from
neighboring gardens.  People who participate in a CSA partner with
farmers and buy allotments of what farmers produce at a set
price."  For more details about J & W Produce check out their
website at
www.JWProduce.com.

I hope you are able to participate in these very worthwhile
activities!
